Update On Big Trial Win

October 2023. Addressing the judgment against H. Walker Royall and his entities, the Court of Appeals affirmed the judgment in part and reversed it in part. The Court of Appeals affirmed the constructive trust imposed on seven of the nine marina properties the jury found that Royall acquired through breaching his fiduciary duties to the Partnership and reversed the judgment for awarding Royall $100,000 for his acquisition costs, for failing to declare the his cousins – the limited partners in the Partnership that he sued – the prevailing parties, and for failing to award them attorney’s fees.
